After two years, eBay gains approval to open PayPal for business in Russia. Or not.

This post is written by Robin Wauters of thenextweb sharing that eBay may have acquired the approval from the Central Bank of Russia to possibly open Paypal business and operate a non-credit bank institution in that country.

In the post, Robin Wauters admits that he is not sure how true the news is since while eBay’s global government relations have blogged about acquiring Paypal’s license to operate in Russia, that same blog or announcement was removed from its Main Street blog. This currently made local representatives confused on what they are to share to the press.
