Reddit co-founder: I’m not mayor of the Internet

This is a post from Doug Gross, CNN, reporting a news from Austin, Texas.  He explains that Alexis Ohanian is not the mayor of the world wide web as others proclaim he is. Alexis Ohanian is the co-founder of the social sharing site Reddit and was proclaimed by Forbes Magazine as the mayor of the internet.

Doug Gross mentioned in his post that the idea of being mayor of the internet is in conflict with what Alexis Ohanian is fighting for. The 29 year old co-founder explains: “The Internet has my axe, insofar as I can be helpful as a voice or a person on camera or someone at a protest,” and adds “I will use it. But the reality is that the magic of the Internet is that there isn’t any hierarchy to it. It’s this flat connection of people where all links are created equal.”
