Create Your Own Wallet Alarm

Have you been victimized by an expert pickpocket before? If you lost your wallet while strolling and walking together with the crowd without a clue what happened and who took it then it is possible you bumped into those legendary pick pockets. Hack a Day shares a video of how pick pocket experts work and a special wallet alarm you can create by yourself.

Unlike other wallet alarms that you see online, where they only make noises when they are opened, Caleb Kraft  from Hack a Day is suggesting a wallet alarm that would activate upon removal from the pocket.

He was able to create such an alarm even though there were some problems with the thickness. Caleb Kraft, used a tiny magnetic window alarm as the main component.

Most of the thickness is on the casing so if you remove the alarm, it is almost as thick as any business card.  The thickness problems are contributed by the battery and the buzzer.

Caleb Kraft admitted that the wallet alarm works perfectly. The alarm can be configured from producing a single chime when removed to producing a constant alarm. Just to see if his design works, Kraft decided to leave the alarm’s thickness problem alone and would make modifications and improvement in the future.
